John Keppler is the first photographer I ever met, I met him through my brothers. I met Keppler when I was barely 7 years old, I'll always remember when it was big and Keppler would be shooting rolls and rolls of film, I'd have to sit on the beach cause my parents wouldn't let me go out. Keppler was the first photographer to get a shot of me surfing, ever in my life. Over the years we've grown to become good friends, and not only has Keppler been there to help us out, but he's also someone that I've grown to be able to talk to whenever necessary. John is a good mentor, and he always has kept a close eye on me to make sure I'm on ground level, focussed and in check! Traveling with Keppler has made it easier as I've realized that working with a friend, a friend who pushes you to your limits, that it helps not just in getting the shot, but in my overall ability.
